Gas prices have continued to skyrocket over the past few months and it seems somewhat steady now in Canada, but the price is still outrageous. Now if it steadied at the price gas use to be then I would never have to write this article, but the fact of the matter is right now gas is too expensive. A lot of people we’re struggling with bills and such payments before and now that gas has risen so much along with most other consumer products many people don’t have any money left at all every month. It’s very painful to see people spend their money on gas to get to work when it’s so high because for a lot of people who earn minimum wage or close to it don’t have enough money leftover after gas.
The gas prices have also ruined most people’s plans of traveling this summer and I don’t think many people can even afford too with the prices right now. Gas is affecting both travellers who want to drive and travellers who want to fly. If you drive to your vacation destination then you’ll be paying the price at the pumps all the way there and back, and if you fly then you’ll be paying a good chunk of money out as well. Airplane companies are now charging every person who flies a gas surcharge on their ticket price which has made airlines almost unaffordable for most people too. If you try travelling with a family of four people and you end up having to pay a gas surcharge for every member of the family then that can add up quickly and more often then not people are choosing to just cancel vacations.
The greed that’s in the market right now is unbelievable in my opinion and it’s a shame that most of us won’t be able to leave our homes his summer. Nothing is better then getting away from everything for a week, but when you have gas prices so high its hard taking your mind off that to enjoy the vacation. I hope that the gas problem is resolved soon, but in case it doesn’t I’m urging people to start taking control over the matter themselves.
If you’re really sick of paying the price at the pumps then you could get an alternative fuelled vehicle instead which can save you anywhere from 40-80% on your gas mileage. This won’t help you in you wanted to fly, but if you have the option of driving then you could save a ton of money by using an alternatively fuelled car. You could either buy one if money permits, or if you know you’re going to be travelling then you should make sure you rent one for the time of your vacation. This way you can put miles onto a rental car and you also will save money at the pumps. Gas prices might never change which is why we need to begin taking control of this matter by ourselves.

The holiday season is a time when people love getting out of the house and taking a vacation, especially those that live in areas with cold winters. Christmas is always one of the busiest times for vacation travel and one of the main reasons is so that people can escape the cold weather and relax in the hot sun. It’s also a time when most people have time off of work, and the children also have time off of school which makes it a perfect time to travel you would think. The only problem is that there are so many people traveling during the holiday season that it becomes a nightmare trying to travel. I have a compiled a list of some of the reason why traveling during the holidays should be avoided.
Massive Crowds
The airports will be packed with people looking to get away for the holidays and it becomes really hectic and overwhelming, especially if with children. It’s hard to find seats while waiting for your flights and getting through all the customs and checks take forever when the crowds are this big. The holidays are a time when everyone wants to travel so you can expect huge crowds at all the international airports.
Increase in Prices
Since the holiday season is such a popular time of the year for people to travel places the prices are always increased right before the rush. You can definitely expect to pay hire costs for your flight tickets, accommodations and transportation when on vacation. The fact is corporations are greedy and since everyone seems willing to pay the increase in price they don’t mind raising them each year.
Weather
Although you’re usually going on vacation to a nice warm destination, the weather in your local region where you’ll be taking off from can be difficult. Throughout Canada and some US States there is always snow and storms around the Christmas holidays and you may be unlucky enough to be experiencing one or the other when you’re supposed to be flying away to paradise. This could put a quick damper on your escape plans for the holidays, and weather is impossible to judge.
You’ll be Exhausted
By the time you finally make it to your destination you’re going to be exhausted and need time to rest. If you changed time zones then your schedule will seriously be off-track and it could put your entire vacation on hold. If you’re only going for one week and you spend three of those days exhausted and sick, with two more in the airport then you only have two days left for activities.
There are much better times of the year for you to travel abroad and you should try making sure you use the more ideal times of the year. When it isn’t peak season you could go to the same place for two weeks that you would go to during the holidays for one week. So if you can hold off a couple months then you could have a lot more time to enjoy your vacation. You might need to spend another year at home throughout the winter, but at least you’ll have something longer to look forward to in coming months rather then trying to deal with hustle and bustle of flying during the holidays.

?Where to Take the Kids in OntarioWhether you live in Ontario and just want to spend a day or weekend at one of the great attractions we have to offer here, or if youre a tourist looking to find great things to do in Ontario then you dont need to look much further then Toronto. During the summer months Toronto and the surrounding areas is where all the action takes place, and I believe its the best area in Ontario for a summer vacation. There are tons of beaches you can go to and there are also many tourist attractions including amusement parks.The first thing that comes to most peoples mind when they think of somewhere to take the kids in Ontario is Canadas Paramount Wonderland which is the biggest amusement park in Canada. The park is huge and they add new rides every single year to the park so that you can always come back and enjoy new features without ever getting bored. There is a massive water park area in Wonderland too which you can spend the day cooling off from the hot sun. You can choose to swim in the huge wave pool or instead you can choose to go on one of many water slides. IKEA Brooklyn . There are also shows that take place most days in the summer at Wonderland and if youre with kids then this might be a great place to relax. We all know the kids might get a bit crazy in the afternoons so by taking them to a show inside the massive theatre youre ensuring that you wont control over them. The sun can make kids get really moody so by taking them in the cool air and dark theatre they will have time to rest.Another location known for many people to frequent which is north of Toronto is Wasaga Beach. The beach is massive and the lake is even better. You can easily walk out fifty feet and only be a few feet deep in water which makes for the area to be a huge attraction in the summer. Youll find a lot of young people in the crowd, but there are also beaches specifically for families. So if youre with younger children and you want to be away from the rush there are private beaches near the main beach that offer a more peaceful time. You can enjoy a picnic or head down to one of the many restaurants that line the beaches. There is also no shortage of cottages and motels to rent for the night or weekend so if you decide its worth staying the night then you shouldnt have an issue finding something.During a couple weeks of the summer in Toronto you can also catch the CNE which is ideal for little kids because all of the rides are small. The CNE also has lots for adults though and you can definitely spend a day or two checking out the scene every year if you live nearby, and if you dont then you can hopefully catch it while youre in Toronto one time. Its something that is an awesome experience and a lot of fun for the little ones so it should be high on your list if its open when youre in Toronto.There is also Ontario Place which is a huge water park filled with lots of things to do, and it should be difficult to become bored here. During the summer there is nothing better then cooling off for the day while having fun barrelling down waterslides. If you enjoy water slides then you wont want to miss visiting Ontario Place in the summer. Its also located in Toronto which means the best bet for your summer vacation in Ontario is Toronto.As you can see there are a ton of different things to do in and around the Toronto region so if you plan on coming here this summer or in the future make sure to check out the awesome attractions we have to offer everyone. Ive been to the places listed above a few times and its always enjoyable for me even after being there numerous times before, so if youve never been to the places above then youll have an amazing day checking them out. Each location will probably need a full day to get the maximum experience from each though, so you may need to decide on only one or two things depending on how long youre visiting the area for.

?Travelling to Manhattan Things to doManhattan is in New York and is the most populated area in the United States when you compare people per square mile. The overwhelming amount of people that live in Manhattan means that the price of living is exceptionally high when compared with the rest of America. This doesnt stop anyone from travelling there though because although expensive if you save up the vacation you take to Manhattan may just be the best vacation you take in your life. Youll want to make sure you plan your trip in advance and also begin saving for it in advance if you need too. You want to be able to enjoy everything the city has to offer and since the city never sleeps you can find stuff to do any hour of the day or night. Many people have dreams of moving to Manhattan, but for me personally I much like just visiting the city, as I probably wouldnt be able to handle the traffic, noise and people after a couple months of being there steady. Its more fun when you know that you leave in a week or two and will be back to your normal life, so the bustling streets seem almost surreal and very enjoyable.The best thing to do in Manhattan in my opinion is to simply walk around and visit whatever catches your eye. The streets of Manhattan are basically all lined with buildings and most of them high-rise buildings that are either for business, shopping or accommodations. If you walk around the city youll be able to find tons of shops for shopping and a lot of food joints. jiu jitsu gi . Youd never be able to come close to going through the city in a day so make sure you dont expect to be doing so as it should take a few days just to enjoy the shopping, food and everything else.After you familiarize yourself with the area a bit better you will have more of an idea of where to find the attractions that everyone talks about. The most world known tourist attraction in Manhattan would be the Statue of Liberty which is a statue almost everyone has heard of before or seen it. You can take a trip up to the top of the statue and have a very nice view of the city and also the waterways.Once youre done at the Statue of Liberty you may want to visit the Rockafeller Center which is a very popular tourist location in Manhattan. There are endless things to do in this city and it never sleeps, during the night there are tons of clubs you can enjoy and also theatres. You can even watch your favourite late night show if you book the tickets early enough. Ive never personally seen Leno or Lettermen but I have heard that its very fun, if anything Id probably want to see Conan OBrien over the other two though.Manhattan is a very tourist friendly city and regardless of the bad rep it gets for crime you dont need to be concerned. Crime has been down in Manhattan for almost a decade now and the area is in a rejuvenation stage that is growing. There is a lot less crime and any crime that does happen isnt too do with tourists, so if you dont get into other peoples business then you should have nothing to worry about.

Toronto is probably the number one tourist location in all of Canada as it attracts millions of visitors each and every year. It has an international airport that is always jam packed and full of people coming and leaving the country and it sometimes can take awhile to come through airport security when you decide to come and visit the city. When you finally get to Toronto though there is a lot of stuff that you can partake in and you should definitely be able to find something that you enjoy.
One of the most popular attractions in Toronto is the CN Tower and many people have scaled up the elevator into the sky. The CN Tower was at one point the largest free standing building in the world and although it was past it still is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Canada. At the top of the elevator you can choose to just view the awesome view from atop of the CN Tower or you can decide to have a meal on the spinning restaurant. The view is awesome when you grab a window seat and you will be able to enjoy a nice meal and the marvellous city. Of course the best time to go and have a meal is when it’s dark because then you will be able to see all the lights shining in the buildings.
Toronto doesn’t have the best performing sport teams, but they do have an electrifying crowd that always is roaring for them to win. If you like sports you will definitely enjoy one of the baseball, basketball or hockey games in the city depending on when you go to the city. The have also just gotten a soccer team that plays in the MLS league which is another great sport to watch. The tickets at these events are typically higher then you’re use too paying, but everything in Toronto is typically high priced. Being the most visited city in Toronto it’s expected that the prices of things are more expensive and that’s something you face almost anywhere you go on a trip.
There is a large shopping district in the downtown core that you can have a great time looking at all the high end shops and boutiques and also some other brand name outlets. Both men and women will find stores in this district that they can shop in and have an enjoyable time at. At night in the downtown core of the city you will find a happening entertainment district that is lined with nightclubs. There has been known to be some violence at some of these nightclubs, so generally you want to go to the higher class clubs to avoid any hassles.
Toronto is one of the best cities in the world and most definitely the best city in Canada to live in and visit. You will be able to find almost anything you want to find in the city to do no matter what you fancy and that’s why so many people come here. No matter what you enjoy there will be something to do. In the summer you can visit many great theme parks including Wonderland, Ontario Place and the CNE. All three of these parks are great excitement with Wonderland being by far the biggest, so if you only have time to visit one then make sure it’s Wonderland. There is both roller coasters and a huge water park in this amusement park so you will be sure to have lots of fun while here.
